An abandoned 70,000 sq. ft. textile mill in the center of a typical New England mill community was creatively converted into 55 one-and-two bedroom apartments for the elderly. Weld Management put together an historic syndication to finance the project and worked closely with the architect and the contractor to make this complex an award winning example of adaptive reuse. (It received a Regional Award of Merit from the American Institute of Architects.) The multifaceted project involved building rezoning, complex financing, contractor negotiations, construction supervision, and coordination of rent-up and occupancy.
