School Street Apartments

One of the company’s first projects presented a tremendous challenge. Weld Management converted a neglected three-story reinforced concrete block auto dealership into 75 one-and-two bedroom apartments for the elderly and handicapped. The buildings occupied one full city block and were in sad condition with irregular walls, sloping floors, and splits in the concrete block. All the original plans had been lost. In order to be completed quickly as possible with a very narrow margin for error. Weld teamed with the National Corporation for Housing Partnerships and completed the project two months ahead of schedule.
